The Intentional Intensive
Three focused hours of 1:1 therapeutic work - using poetry, psychology and bespoke frameworks - for people ready to do more than another conversation about it.
Who the Intentional Intensive is for
You're high-functioning on the outside. Exhausted on the inside. You can articulate what you're feeling, but the articulation isn't moving anything. You've started to suspect that "another conversation about it" isn't going to be the thing that shifts you.
You're not in crisis. You're not looking for a diagnosis. You're looking for a different kind of room — one where someone can hold the complexity of what you're carrying and meet you with practical tools, real frameworks, and an honest take.
This is for you if:
- You're tired of doing the same therapy conversation in different rooms with different people.
- You want to understand the pattern — not just the latest situation.
- You're ready to be witnessed without being fixed
- You want to leave with something you can actually use — language, scripts, frameworks, a map.
- You're willing to feel uncomfortable in service of getting somewhere new.
This isn't for you if:
- You're in active crisis and need ongoing weekly support.
- You're looking for a diagnosis or a clinical assessment.
- You want a coach to tell you what to do
- You're hoping someone else will do the work for you.
How an intensive works.
In three phases
Before the intensive: pre-session reflection questionnaire
The Reflection
You have the chance to map out your goals and needs with a pre-intensive questionnaire that focuses on what helps you stay regulated and what your limiting beliefs are
During the intensive: three hours of focused 1:1 work
The Work
Three focused hours, online, using poetry, psychology, and bespoke frameworks chosen for you.
After the intensive: your bespoke post-session document
The Document
Within a week, a bespoke document arrives written for you, about you.
The reflection
Once we've agreed an Intensive is right for you, I'll send you a pre-intensive reflection questionnaire. It asks you to map where you are right now; your current stressors, what your priorities are and what outcomes you'd want from our time together.
By the time you arrive at the session, you're already paying closer attention to what's actually going on. It also means I arrive with a working understanding of your terrain - so you don't spend our time together me catching up on what's going on.
The work
Each Intensive is built around you.
No two sessions look the same. I'll have spent time going through your reflection and come ready prepared for what is needed.
Most include some combination of these tools:
The Frustration Triangle
A signature framework for identifying your pressure response.
The Hulp to Hope Framework
A map for moving from isolation to vibrance - the foundation of Jacky's methodology.
Window of Tolerance Mapping
Identifying when your nervous system is being pushed beyond capacity.
EFT Tapping
Emotional Freedom Technique for nervous system regulation in real time.
Experiential work
Using metaphor, empty chair work, props and poetry as a way to access what's underneath.
Poetry as technology
Where it helps, we use poetry - yours or mine to hold what doesn't yet have a name.
The document
Within a week, you'll receive a bespoke document built from our session. This is not generic. It's written for you, about you, and only useful to you.
A typical post-intensive document includes:

▸ Your specific Frustration Triangle map
▸ Direction on how to map out your Window of Tolerance landscape
▸ Any experiential work interpreted in detail
▸ Curated frameworks chosen specifically for your situation (communication, boundaries for example)
▸ Specific practices to try in the next week, two weeks, and month
▸ Communication scripts you can adapt to real situations in your life
▸ Links to videos, audios, and exercises chosen for your work — not a generic list
The Intentional Intensive is a three-hour 1:1 therapeutic intensive delivered online via Zoom, with a bespoke post-session document delivered within a week. Jacky Power is a UK-based therapist (MSc Addiction Psychology, MBACP) drawing on EFT, Matrix Reimprinting, Window of Tolerance work and her own Hulp to Hope and Frustration Triangle frameworks. The Intensive is for high-functioning professionals, cycle-breakers and people in transition who want focused, deeper work than weekly therapy provides.
